We Got Married!!!

We Got married is a Korean dating/reality show where two celebrities pretend to be married. I know it seems superficial and weird, but.... IT IS AWESOME!!!!! It is the best, most addicting, funniest show you will ever watch!  The show starts out showing two celebrities not knowing who it is that they are going to be"fake" married to. When the couple finally meets utter awkwardness usually ensues, which is super funny! While pretending to be married the couples each have their own house and sometimes a even car together. Each week the couples are given "mission" cards with things they must do that day. They do things like going to the amusement park, having guests over, working-out together, and even babysitting together. As the time passes and the couple gets more comfortable with each other you start to grow really attached to them! I know what your thinking "It's all fake", "It's just a show" but you watch it for yourself and see if you don't cry when your favorite couple finally breaks up. Yes, they do eventually break up :( and it is really really sad when they do. The people who put each couple together are geniuses! Each couple is matched so perfectly that you can't help but Google if they are really dating ( I am guilty of this). There have been 4 seasons of We Got Married so far and it is still airing every week. As you might could already tell I am a little obsessed with this show. I have watched almost every couple :). So take my word for it this is a wonderful light and funny show that you can get addicted to and watch for days at a time. I have already convinced my best friend who was completely against anything korean to love it! Watch it for yourself!
Here are a few of my favorite couples just to give you a taste of what your missing......

The Adam Couple,
The "Adam" couple is easily the awesomest couple ever! or at least the awesomest We Got Married couple ever. This couple is made up of Jo Kwon the leader of 2AM (a male ballad group) and Son Gain of Brown Eyed Girls(a girl-group best known for the song"Abracadabra"). They are sooooooo cute together!!!! They obtained their given name "Adam couple" because they are both short and small, and apparently "adam" has something to do with that??? I don't really know but it must be a Korean thing. Jo Kwon is probably the craziest, silliest person you will ever come in contact with. Full of life and peppiness there is never a dull moment with him around. He is also famous in Korea for his crazy and random dancing witch is one of the finniest things I've ever seen. Gain is the absolute opposite of him. She is straight faces and  inexpressive, but she plays off  Jo Kwon's craziness perfectly. This couple had a total of 59 episodes witch is the longest running couple in We Got Married history. They where so good together that there is still a lot of speculation that they are dating in real life.  I would defiantly recommend the Adam couple as a great starter couple if you are wondering who to choose. My personal favorite episode of theirs is episode 18, the couple is surprised with a visitor that they must entertain all day. I'm just saying, Get ready to laugh!

                                                                                                     Khuntoria,
This couple is the very best in terms of cuteness :) They have been called the "No hands" couple because they were known to do everything for each other. Even things like feeding each other and wiping each others sweat where common for this couple. "Khuntoria" is made up of Victoria, leader of  f(x) (another girl group) and Nichkhun a member of the boy band 2PM( the brother band of 2AM). Again, these two are paired absolutely perfect! Victoria has the cutest face and smile! She is known for her motherliness and the younger members of f(x) call  her their mother. They joked that Nichkhun inherited four new daughters when he married Victoria and the members called him"Appa"(korean for daddy). Victoria is originally from China, and Nichkhun was from Thailand, so they where additionally  called the "International couple".  As for my favorite episode It is very hard to choose. I would have to say 35,36 and 37 because they are all related.  In these episodes the couple is asked to dance together for a very big music event. Learning their dance together is the very best kind of utter awkwardness, and it gave me lots of butterflies!

                                                                                    Goguma Couple( sweet potato)
The Sweet Potato Couple holds a very special place in my heart because it was the couple that started it all for me. This couple introduced me to the wonderful world of We Got Married! Jung Yonghwa lead singer of C.N.BLUE (my favorite band) is the reason I started watching this show. Because of him I was introduced to his virtual wife Seohyun and GirlsGeneration the girl-group she is a member of. You could also say that this couple introduced me to K-pop. Aside from them being my first couple they are also one of my very very favorite! Both of them are kind of shy at first but when they finally open up to each other they are darling and so funny! Seohyun has an obsession with "goguma" or sweet potatos, thus they are dubbed the sweet potato couple because they are always eating them. Yonghwa even gives a sweet potato farming plot to Seohyun for a birthday present :). This couple is also known as the "Musical couple" because they are always playing instruments and singing together. They even wrote a song together that they later performed on stage. Another theme this couple is known for is Banmal.  "Banmal" is the formal way of speaking in Korean.  Most couples drop this formal speech after meeting for the first time, but the Yongseo couple never stopped using formal speech. This was due to Seohyun's shyness about being informal with Yonghwa because he was older than her. The song they wrote together was even entitled "Banmal Song", and it talked about Yong's wish that Seo would finally use informal speech with him. Their relationship is so perfect that I cried bitterly when they broke up! My very favorite episode of this couple would actually have to be their very first episode. This may be because it was my very first episode of We Got Married ever, but it is also because of their interaction together and their wonderful musical connection.

                                                                                                 Campus Couple,
Last week was the official end of the Campus couple :( I am super sad about their end and you could tell by watching that they were very sad as well. I and all other Fans of the show will miss them tremendously!!! Anyway, this couple was awesome! I loved every minute of each of their 52 episodes!!!! The campus couple was complied of the actress/girl-group idol Eunjung and actor Jang Woo. This couple is a lot of fun! To start off their relationship they find out that they went to the same collage( that's why they are called the campus couple), then for their first house they are given a camping-car to live in! They travel all over in their camping-car home until they are finally given a real house. The Campus Couple also travels internationally with a honeymoon trip to Malaysia and a trip along with their mother's to Indonesia. In Indonesia they have the sweetest wedding ceremony, and the mother's are hilarious! In fact the episodes in Indonesia are my favorite. :) This couple is known for their "skin-ship" as the Koreans call it, or PDA as we call it here in the US. Most We Got Married couples take awhile before they start to show any PDA but this couple didn't take very long at all. They where pretty much always holding hands through out their episodes and even in their last episode Eun Jung asks Jang Woo to hold her hand at every stop light when he is driving. Kissing is another thing that most We Got Married couples have trouble with and some never actually end up kissing. But the Eun Jang couple kissed the earliest of any other WGM couple and they kissed multiple time witch is also not a common occurrence. With the WooJung couple things where never boring. They even took pole dancing exercise classes together! As a last gift Jang Woo wrote a song for Eun Jung and tried to sing it for her but couldn't sing through his tears..... THEY NEED TO DATE FOR REAL!!!!! I'm sorry for my outburst but I'm still not quite over their break up yet... Hey, don't laugh at me! You watch it and see if you don't feel the exact same way.

                                                                                                   Dimple Couple,
Oh! I love this couple to pieces!!!! They are my only ongoing couple! Actress Kang Sora  and Lee Teuk leader of the popular boy band "SuperJunior" make up this darling couple. Kang Sora recently stared in one of my favorite K-dramas "Dream High2"  and that is what got me interested in this couple. By the way, if you haven't seen Dream High go watch it!!!  This couple hasn't been together for all that long but they have already made so many memories. They have an awkward way of interacting together that totally gives me butterflies every time I see them. Lee Teuk is almost 30 where as Kang Sora is only 22, with this age difference you would think Lee Teuk would be more of an older brother figure. But! He is actually kiddish and immature, witch fits perfectly with Kang Soras quiet maturity. They go on a bunch of random fun outings like a visit to Lee Teuk's old high-school and a trip a fluffy sheep petting zoo. Two other couple names have  been attributed to this couple "Leader Couple" and "Piano Couple". The First was given to them due to Lee Teuk being the leader of SuperJunior and Sora playing the part of a  leader in the movie "Sunny".  The second came up because they  play the piano for each other and together on several occasions. On their first night as a couple Lee Teuk plays a song he wrote for Sora, than on a later episode they write a song together on the piano about lunch time:) Sora than promised to learn a song and play it for her Husband. My favorite episode so far from this couple is episode 10 where Lee Teuk creates a special event for Sora at one of his concerts. I won't spoil for you so go watch it yourself but it made me tear up.....

This completes my long review of my favorite show on earth! yay!!! It toke me forever to finish this! I hope you've enjoyed  it and I hope I've sparked your interest enough to give this show a watch.Thank you for reading and as always.....
                                         Sweet dreams...
                                                                   love,
                                                                            hartley
